"I truly have to say that Nancy Crain and Favorable Expressions were a Godsend when it came to planning my wedding.
Prior to meeting Nancy, my husband and I knew exactly what we wanted to give as wedding favors, however I was clueless as to how to get from step one to a completed project. It was very important to both of us to give our friends and family something very tasteful as well as something of good quality. We wanted something that they would actually hang onto and not throw away after the wedding as so often happens with wedding favors. I had spent numerous hours on the phone with vendors, stationary stores, and suppliers and was coming up with nothing that I could utilize as well as was quite stunned at what the cost would be to make my favors on my own. It began to become a huge stress point in the wedding planning, rather than an enjoyable experience.
I explained to Nancy my situation, as well as what my husband and I had pictured as the 'ideal wedding favor.' What Nancy did from there was a blessing!! She had a unique way of providing suggestions without trying to influence or change any of my original ideas, she consulted me on every decision that needed to be made without being bothersome, was always willing to spend as much time as necessary when I wanted to talk to her about my thoughts or ideas. It was like having a consultant/vendor and a friend at the same time.
Nancy truly took away the stress of 'wedding planning' which allowed it to become fun again! I ended up feeling so comfortable with Favorable Expressions, and had such trust in Nancy and her experience that I completely put things in her hands and never gave it a second thought from that point on.
Not only was the finished product even more beautiful than I had expected, but Nancy also provided my attendants gifts, my guest book, flower girl basket, and ring bearers pillow.
It has been nine months since my wedding day and I am still getting asked by friends and family members as well as their guests, where I obtained my favors. The one comment that I heard repeatedly at our reception was 'how tasteful and elegant' my favors were as well as 'how beautifully they were displayed.' Nancy knows that just as important as the favor is itself, the presentation is just as important. Favorable Expressions is the greatest asset a bride can have! "I can't say enough about Nancy's creativity and flexibility. When I first contacted her, she asked about details on the theme of our wedding, as well as what my fiancé and I are interested in as individuals. Since we live on different sides of the Bay Area, Nancy met me half way for a consultation. She brought along an assortment of beautiful and original favor samples, as well as several pieces custom designed for our wedding! She not only incorporated the fall color scheme I was planning, but also the love of coffee for my fiancé and a pretty flair for me! I was so impressed and excited to see something so tasteful and specially created for the two of us.
I haven't seen any ideas like the ones Nancy presented, and would have never thought of the idea myself! We decided on the final details for each piece - a chartreuse organza bag filled with Starbucks coffee beans, tied with three gorgeous ribbons in various sizes and colors - bronze, medium and light gold, and burgundy - adorned with a stunning burgundy and wine colored rosette. To top it off, Nancy attached a stick of mini sugar crystals to accompany the coffee beans. The vellum heart shaped tag reads 'Wil & Dana "The Perfect Blend" October 3, 2003'. The favors were set out at each place setting and really enhanced the reception tables. They were an absolute hit with the guests, and we receive compliments on them to this day! I have some around my house and love to notice (and smell!) them as a reminder of our day.
